10 Strong Prayer from the Bible

1. Prayer for Growth in Grace and Knowledge (2 Peter 3:18)

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart, asking that You help me grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lord, I desire to know You more deeply, to walk in Your truth, and to be transformed daily into the likeness of Christ. As David prayed, “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name” (Psalm 86:11). Let my life reflect Your glory, and may my thoughts, words, and actions be rooted in Your wisdom.

Lord, I ask that You open the eyes of my understanding, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your Word (Psalm 119:18). Let Your Spirit guide me into all truth, and may I never grow weary in pursuing You. Strengthen me to resist distractions and worldly temptations, and help me to abide in Your presence continually. May my soul thirst for You as the deer pants for streams of water (Psalm 42:1), and may my growth in grace bring honor to Your holy name.

2. Prayer for Strength in the Inner Man (Ephesians 3:16)

Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Spirit who strengthens me in my inner man. Lord, I confess that without You, I am weak, but with You, I am strong. Your Word declares, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped” (Psalm 28:7). Strengthen me, Lord, to endure trials, to overcome temptations, and to stand firm in faith. Let my inner man be fortified by Your Spirit, so that I may walk in victory.

Lord, I ask that You renew my strength daily, as Your Word says, “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength” (Isaiah 40:29). Let me be like the tree planted by rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither (Psalm 1:3). May Your Spirit empower me to live a life of holiness, courage, and perseverance. Let my heart rejoice in You, knowing that You are my refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

3. Prayer for Unfailing Faith (Luke 22:32)

Lord Jesus, You prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail, and I ask the same for myself today. Strengthen my faith, Lord, that it may endure through trials, storms, and uncertainties. Your Word says, “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever” (Psalm 125:1). Let my faith be unshakable, rooted in Your promises, and anchored in Your love.

Father, I ask that You increase my faith daily, that I may walk by faith and not by sight. Let me declare with the psalmist, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13). Strengthen me to believe even when circumstances seem impossible, and help me to encourage others with the faith You have given me. May my faith bring glory to Your name and draw others closer to You.

4. Prayer for the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23)

Gracious Lord, I ask that You fill me with the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let these virtues be evident in my life, that others may see Christ in me. Your Word says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Transform my heart, Lord, so that I may bear fruit that glorifies You.

Father, I pray that Your Spirit will cultivate these fruits in me daily. Let love abound in my words, joy overflow in my spirit, and peace guard my heart. May patience guide my actions, kindness shape my relationships, and goodness shine in my deeds. Let faithfulness anchor my walk, gentleness soften my speech, and self-control govern my desires. As the psalmist declared, “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon” (Psalm 92:12). May my life flourish in Your Spirit.

5. Prayer for Steadfastness in God’s Work (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Lord, Your Word encourages me to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. I ask for the grace to remain faithful in service, even when challenges arise. Your Word says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord” (Psalm 40:4). Strengthen me to keep my eyes fixed on You, knowing that my labor in You is never in vain.

Father, I pray that You help me to persevere in prayer, worship, and service. Let me not grow weary in doing good, but remain steadfast in Your calling. As the psalmist declared, “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” (Psalm 16:8). Keep me anchored in Your presence, and let my life be a testimony of Your faithfulness. May my steadfastness inspire others to remain committed to You.

6. Prayer for God’s Protection (Psalm 91:1)

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the promise that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, I choose to remain under Your covering, trusting that You are my refuge and fortress. As the psalmist declared, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). Protect me from every danger, seen and unseen, and let Your angels encamp around me.

Lord, I ask that You shield me from the arrows of the enemy and the pestilence that walks in darkness. Let no harm come near my dwelling, for You have promised to deliver me from the snare of the fowler (Psalm 91:3). Cover me with Your feathers, and let me find refuge under Your wings. May Your truth be my shield and buckler, and may I walk in confidence knowing that You are my protector.

7. Prayer for Deliverance from Evil (Psalm 34:17)

Gracious Lord, I cry out to You today, knowing that You hear the righteous and deliver them from all their troubles. Deliver me from every evil plan of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against me prosper. Your Word says, “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them” (Psalm 34:7). Surround me with Your divine presence and rescue me from every trap set against my life.

Father, I declare that You are my deliverer, my strong tower, and my shield. As David prayed, “Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; in You I take shelter” (Psalm 143:9). Break every chain of oppression, silence every voice of accusation, and scatter every plot of darkness. Let me walk in freedom, knowing that You have redeemed me and set me free.

8. Prayer for Divine Hedge of Protection (Job 1:10)

Lord, I thank You for the hedge of protection You place around Your children. Just as You surrounded Job with Your divine covering, I ask that You surround me, my family, and all that concerns me. Your Word says, “The Lord will preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul” (Psalm 121:7). Build a wall of fire around me, and let no harm penetrate Your divine shield.

Father, I pray that You guard my going out and my coming in from this time forth and forevermore (Psalm 121:8). Protect my health, my finances, my relationships, and my destiny. Let Your presence be a fortress around me, and may every arrow of the enemy be quenched by Your power. Keep me safe in Your hands, for You are my refuge and strength.

9. Prayer Against Weapons of the Enemy (Isaiah 54:17)

Heavenly Father, I stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment shall be condemned. Lord, I declare victory over every attack of the enemy. Your Word says, “The Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge” (Psalm 94:22). Let Your power dismantle every weapon aimed at me.

Lord, I ask that You frustrate the devices of the wicked and turn their plans to nothing. As David declared, “Let them be confounded and put to shame who seek after my life; let them be turned back and brought to confusion who plot my hurt” (Psalm 35:4). Cover me with Your shield, and let me walk in triumph, knowing that You fight my battles.

10. Prayer for Rescue from Traps (Psalm 91:3)

Father, I thank You for Your promise to deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. Lord, I ask that You expose every hidden trap set against me and rescue me from every scheme of darkness. Your Word says, “Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped” (Psalm 124:7). Let me walk in freedom and victory.

Lord, I pray that You keep me vigilant and discerning, that I may not fall into the snares of temptation or deception. As David prayed, “Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity” (Psalm 141:9). Guide my steps, Lord, and let me walk securely in Your path. May every trap set against me be destroyed by Your mighty hand.
